great advice ladies. For the record, I have been slowing it down - turning down her invites and not calling her and such.

How often do women pursue guys and call them just to be friends? in my experience - never. She could be an exception though; there is always that chance that she just wants to be friends.

I've pursued a lot of friendships with guys. I've found that I get along better with guys and I have more in common with them since I'm kind of a tomboy. I don't think it's uncommon but I do think that when someone tries to make friends with the opposite sex, it's often misconstrued as wanting more. (both with men and women) I had a good friend who thought every guy who said hi to her had a crush on her and it wasn't true at all. She ended up running off tons of guys who wanted to be friends because she assumed otherwise every time.
