    It's difficult because I agree with not telling his secret and I agree with supporting him. But, he's lied to you and he's lying to himself and in effect he used you.

    I suspect the flowers and dinner is his "fear" you may still spill..

    I would talk further to him and let him know that you won't tolerate anything other than honesty from here on end. Let him know he hurt you, by "pretending" that he loved you and even a "friend" does not do that, he's lucky to have you in his life.

    Also, I know this sounds horrid but you did have sex with him and as he has already lied to you in the past, please get checked and ensure your safe.

    It's horrible what you went through but you also have to remember, "do not let anyone abuse you" .. Verbally, physically or mentally. You deserve respect and his tantrums,especially in front of people at College is non -acceptable behaviour.

    Take that part as a lesson to ensure no one gets the right to do that again.
