Do you worry when things are going soooo well??
It's just something that popped in my head this morning when my friend text me asking me if I was Ok and I replied "yep, everything is really good, too good, just waiting for the rug to be yanked from under me and to land splat on my face." And he told me off for being negative - but thats what seems to happen with me - things go great and then something will happen and the it all goes horribly wrong for a short time (this is usually due to the behaviour of my BF, kids, ex or being broke) - i just seem to expect the worst all the time - like now! Is it just me of do others think like this??? Doom and gloom or just waiting for the rug to be pulled from under them!! -
Its important to stay grounded most of the time I think... especially in a relationship with more downs than ups. The higher you have your head in the clouds the harder it comes crashing down so its good to stay sort of even. But if you have a solid relationship and you feel good and things are happy... let yourself float, why not? Life can be cruel, financially, romantically, in every way... and it can also be beautiful.
But every moment we have here is a gift, I feel, and should be treated as such. Why waste one precious moment worrying about what to do when it all comes crashing down... something will, inevidably burts your bubble now and then be it, your car needing fixed, an argument, etc... but deal with those bumps as they come... don't lay in wait of them.
If things are a-okay today, breathe that in, live that a-okay moment to the fullest, we only get so many of them, so don't squander them with worries about the next downfall
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.Comment
