Women can spot despiration a mile off. Be cool, make a few female friends not as girlfriend potential. The will give you a good insite into how they think. Girls generally have lots a female friends if you gain the trust and friendship of one or two they will do one of two things. Ward every girl off and stake you as her claim (not ideal) or introduce you to her friends and vouch for you. Just dont mess any of these girls around or you will be toast!! Never cross a women and never ever cross a womens friend.
Patience is key at 17 it seems like every one is getting something except you, this is completly untrue. Remember the goal in life is to find happiness and keep it. Focus on doing things you enjoy which are female friendly hobbies dancing, horse riding, skiing, climbing what ever common interests are important in meeting and keeping someone close.Comment

I guess I should have expanded on my very short reply. Future did a very good job here at explaining what I was trying to say.Patience is key at 17 it seems like every one is getting something except you, this is completly untrue. Remember the goal in life is to find happiness and keep it. I just haven't found it yet.Comment

Take it easy buddy, I know exactly what's going on with your mind. In your age is very common to get nervous and think you're failing by not having a girlfriend while all of your school friends are going out with the chicks. This is normal and I'll tell you one thing, there's no need to get desperate. You don't need to force things according to your school friends reality just to look like you're popular. This mentality make people suffer, make people change their personalities just to be competitive, for many teenagers relationships have become a sick sport. Those guys and girls think life is a competition and the more girls you go out, the better you are. In the end of all, those ones are unhappy. YES, you have to flirt the girls, you have to make more female friends, yes, I'm not telling you that you don't have to do this, but there's no need to go around desperate after girlfriends - even because in your age some girls are not worth of it. Avoid those "popular wannabe girls", with these girls your chances of having a big deception in life are extremely high. Also try to occupy your mind with more things that are not related to "that" If you know what I mean, go practice some sport, try to find a good hobby - all of that help you to get rid of anxiety. Taking out anxiety, everything works. Ok? Good luck!Comment

I was much the same at the same age. Do you have female friends of the same age? Male friends? How do you interact with your friends? What activities do you do together? Sports, tutoring, volunteering and other social activities are great ways to make new friends. You can learn social interaction skills from interacting with friends. Be sure to have some female friends as they will be able to give you advice if you ask it from them as well as learning how to interact with the opposite sex.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, VirginiaComment

Everyone does things at their own pace. Don't feel like there is some kind of "schedule" or that you have to compete with what other people are doing. Remember that girls get nervous too. Just be yourself, do what you like to do, and it'll happen
If you smile when no one else is around, you really mean it.

Yes this is normal and the reason behind this is you don’t able to build your confidence level when you talk and when you walk. You have to build your confidence. After that you can able talk to every one.Comment
