Is it okay to flirt with a female that has a higher social status?

Is it okay to flirt with a female who has a higher social status than you?

Why not? As long as you're single and she is single, there isn't any problem. Even if you don't know if she's single, "social status" shouldn't effect that. It might affect the outcome, but don't let it stop you!

What is your reaction if a guy of a lower social status asks you out on a date?

Depends on what country you are in.

If you are in the US or Europe, then it depends on the situation. It could be a problem in an office situation if the woman is higher in the organization than you. In in a normal social setting it is fine.

If a guy from a lower social status asked me out...so what. I'd be flattered.

If a guy from a lower social status asked me, that would be my pleasure.
Not all guys from a high social status are good. Some are pretentious.
