Most straight men, even if they are accepting of others being gay have a pretty strong ick factor with the actual practices. I think a lot of that is conditioning, after all if you don't like broccoli you don't freak out if someone else eats it but many straight men do freak out at the idea of gay sex.
You have to go with your gut feeling. If he is in denial you don't need to be his cover. If he is bi, he needs to be able to see that and then you need to be able to decide if you can accept it. Like any other relationship where you agree to "foresake all others", if he is bi it doesn't mean he will act on it. You both need clarity.
