    Starting something new...

I'm just wondering if anyone else has this issue when they are starting to date someone new. I am constantly worried about what they're thinking, where things are going, if he's just going to stop liking me one day, if I'm annoying him when I text/call (although I think it's pretty balanced--we both text/call quite a bit), what his specific tone means if he gets serious through texts all of a sudden when he's been playful, etc. Is this normal to be paranoid all the time in the beginning? He doesn't know and I don't intend on telling him, but it drives me nuts at time, especially since I have OCD. Sometimes I can't shut my mind off!

    Thanks

Yes, this is completely normal. I got out of a 4 yr relationship and met my current boyfriend. I had all the same thoughts. You just don't know what to expect from this new person, you don't know them like you knew your ex. It gets easier. Just take it easy and whatever happens happens...No big deal. Once you get to know each other better, this will get easier.

Try not to worry about this. It could be showing in how you interact with him and that could start being a turn off for him. Just be yourself!

I am the same way. I am dating someone now and he had to cancel plans to do something on Tuesday because he had been traveling and working all day and was tired. I of course immediately assumed he had lost all interest. Of course a friend reassured me that this was nothing to worry about if he had to cancel one time. I also get concerned if he sends me short texts or takes a while to text me back. What could he possibly be doing?!?! I'm sure he has no idea how much I obsess.

Just be yourself and enjoy every moment. Never rush things. I think how you feel is pretty normal
