Easy-going means you have a laid-back sort of personality, you don't get bothered by things too easily and you are easy to get along with.

If you told him he was easy going and easy to get along with........ what would you mean by that?

I think if you have language barriers, therefore communication barriers, it's important to always ask him what he means when you don't understand. If you do not understand, it's better to ask him what he means, rather than possibly mis-interpreting what he has said.

It sounds like he likes you, and is complimenting you.
