Good advice ... but then I feel perhaps I was in a bad mood at that point in time because of other stuff, and it made me mention it .. when in his defence he is just stuck in his ways a bit and training for national squad hopes. So despite the fact he says it isn't it feels like my fault. Since nothing really changed I can't see why he would suddenly change his mind and say his feelings had been fading

I don't think he did...I think he was happy with spasmotic times, calls, text messages ...

Stop beating yourself up He wants a different life pattern, he has dreams and goals, passions that don't involve, a picket fence, raising kids, at this point....

You on the other hand, see that right?

When someone is set in their ways, on a goal, mission, and realise someone else wants, needs more, if they aren't devoted, truly devoted, they will walk....nothing is going to stop them...

Words can change "anything".....

What you see and what's really going through his mind can be two different things.......

He's simply not ready for any commitment...you can be FWB's and everything would be fine...but that's not your answer....

Like attracts like....The person you chose isn't ready for that choice...in life....

Ah ok well mostly that makes sense, other than the fact that I'm not ready for the picket fence etc. for quite a few years yet! Not that I hadn't thought that it would be with him, I wasn't looking for quite that much commitment. Also it was just our meeting up that wasn't as regular as I hoped, we still instant messaged every evening

But other than that thanks for the advice I do feel it helps
