a few of my friend and i went for a few drinks last weekend, my ex came with us seen as we are still close friends, he got really really drunk and told his friend that i was the girl he wants to spend the rest of his life with, about half an hour later we were talking and he told me that he loved me so much, i told him that i loved him back and he kept telling me all night, the next day we met up in town and he just kinda laughted about it all and made a joke out of us saying we loved eachother. can someone please help i dont know if he loves me or not.

Never trust what a drunk tells you. If he isn't willing to say it or show it sober, it doesn't count.

I believe what a drunk man says (in most occasions). It is when his more vulnerable side comes out - his inhibitions are down and the deep - seated emotions which are otherwise buried and/or hidden come out. A sober man has more control over what he thinks, feels, says and do. That being said, he is still trying to figure out how he feels about you and wants to be sure.

Give it time but do not hope that he will come around sooner or come around at all. Find something to be busy with - new friends, dates, new hobbies, new hair and wardrobe, etc...
