Man Moobs
Does your man have Moobs? If so dose it put you off him or do you take him as he is? I dont mind that my partner is over weight but moobs can be an issue especially when the kids stare and comment. Hes started the gym and they do hang low when sat down. One doctor said they will go after weight loss, the other said nope you will need surgery. I guess all i can do is support :-)) -
The first question is: does he just have a flabby chest and are the 'moobs' all fat? If they are then like normal fat it will disappear in proportion with overall weight loss. If he has gynecomastia then no amount of fat loss will shift it and he needs surgery. Just like a woman's breast tissue can be minimized (not eliminated) by weight loss (and hormonal manipulation usually lowering E2/estriadol/estrogen) the tissue glands cannot just disappear and there will be a minimum size the tissue can be reduced to.
The doctor who told your partner he needs surgery may well have taken the time to actually establish that he had gynecomastia and not just a flabby chest, and thus advised him accordingly. Its likely the other doctor who said they'll disappear with weight loss just took a quick look at him and dismissed him, most doctor's have a very blaze approach to this kind of problem.
What may happen, however, is that your partner finds—irrespective of whether he has moobs or a flabby chest—that once he has lost weight the size and shape of his chest reduces/changes into once which he (and hopefully you) is satisfied with. The doctor will likely express more interest once he has his weight under control, losing adipose tissue can also affect E2 levels which when lowered will positively impact—that is to say reduce—the size of his 'moobs'.
Just to add, as per usual all the fun stuff: alcohol, cigarettes, fatty food will make his condition worse whether its fat tissue or gynecomastia. I once read that red wine is the most anti-estrogenic mode of alcohol. If he's struggling with motivation tell him that losing 15lbs can apparently add 1/2 inch to the size of a man's penis by reducing fatty tissue around the pelvis, thus exposing more of the penis' base.No matter how objective we try to be, we all see through our own eyes... -
My hubby has man boobs. Its one of the least attractive parts of a man, but I love him anywhy. Just like he loves me despite my stretch marks. I know its a touchy subject for him so I never even joke about them. He never goes topless, even at the beach. They are considered genetic. Weight loss may help some, but surgery is the only real solution. I would just suggest avoiding tight t-shirts that make it obvious.Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose - Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster (sung by Janis Joplin)Comment
