Venting about my mamas boy
I'm sorry but i need to vent.. my bf (34) (im 24) is such a mamas boy!! hes never lived on his own until he moved in with me this past october. Ever since ( well always) .. everytime something goes wrong he runs to mommy.. we've been together 3 years.. everytime we argue or something goes wrong he runs home or calls his mother.. I CANNOT STAND IT!! and yes we've talked about this numerous times. Example.. i ran out of propane yesterday.. my house is freezing! i have one small electic space heater.. he got all ****y when he figured out we were out of heat. Ive been covering all the bills since hes lived here except he does spilt the mortgage payment.. I make 1000 dollars a month if im lucky.. i cant find a job all i do is go go dancing at nights on the weekend.. i told him to get a delivery i have o pay the remaing balance.. his answer .. ok so do it.. i scoffed like really? im on a payment plan with electric and cable which are both due end this week.. and you want me to pull 400plus dollars outta no where?? we argued cuz he just quit his job ( stupid) he said that he as to pay for our puppys vet visit today i said ok i get tht but u cant help me out at all? you;ve been here for 4 months now... these bills are OUR responsibilty.. he threw me 100 bucks.. like really? UGGHH im just soo frustrated wth him. he has no sense of what life is really like.. ive been on my own since i was 17.. yes if i dsperatly need help my mother helps.. but he is getting ridiuclous.. he complains to me bout how crazy his family is (which yes they kinda are but none the less i respect them as my own family) . he has done/come a long way since we first started dating but he has soo much to learn bout life. hes a spoiled brat.. everything was always done for him.. hell say he paid the bills which is bs cuz his mom is the one that would write out his checks and mail them.. and if she forgot orwas late he would be angry wth her.. like hello!! why dont you pay your own bills? UGH frustration and stress is goingto b the death of me.. -
You should be really careful with this guy, because he could end up ruining your credit. Also, it sounds like he is using you. If he can't even hold down a job, then he's just relying on you for a free ride, especially at 34 years old. You need to break free from this guy for a while until you're on your feet (or forever), because he doesn't sound mature or responsible and you don't need to be a fill-in mother figure. He has to learn what it's like to truly be on his own to understand where you're coming from and by letting him live by you without any other responsibilities besides the mortgage, then he'll never stop doing what he's doing. -
i have tried to break up with him numerous times (its been back n forth the past year) evertime we do whether initiated by him or myself we always endup gettin back together.. last time we broke up i kinda sorta jumped into another relationsip.. the guy was amazing strong dtermined goal oriented. he left for the marines boot camp.. and me bing weak an a sucker fell for my ex's stories... and low n behold i broke it with the guy i was seeing and got back with my ex.. now 3-4 months later its happening all over again. I am so tired of going threw this over and over again.. everytime i do manage to break it off and start to do good n b happy he does something to either ruin it or make me feel like i need to go back!! im just very frustrated with myself cause i cant stay strong and just send him packing...

Ditto to what Lizzard said. Sounds like a recipe for disaster with a lazy selfish guy who feels he's entitled to a womans total care.
Aside from there, there are some "you" issues that are quite apparent. It seems you are lacking in self confidence and are scared to be "alone" aka single, hence the jumping into a new relationship...then as soon as they guy left you get back with the ex. Being single gets such a negative rep, but it is SO much better than being with someone and being mistreated, stressed out, upset, and resentful all the time. Until you stop placing your self worth on whether or not you have a man... this will continue.
A true "mama's boy" can be quite attractive. When a man loves and cherishes his mother and vice versa, it's often a wonderful testament of his character. But that DOES NOT mean that his mother takes care of him like he's a child. When a grown man let's the women in his life take care of him, that means he's lazy. Be prepared that if you marry and/or have children with a lazy man, he will also be a lazy husband, and a lazy father.Comment
