    Too much Jealous. HELP.

So i dunno how to start this, i am kinda new here, i basically joined the site for self help.

Anyway, me and my gf have been dating for 2 yrs now , we have had our ups and downs. But since a few months back things have been going downhill for us.

The only way i can put this up is that i am jealous of her best friend. Ok so, I dont even know if this is normal but she tells me that she and her best friend share tiniest of details telling each other everything whether its as small as telling each other they are in shower or anything big. And she keeps on talking to her 24/7 be it texting or calling, even if it means ignoring me. And to add upto it she keeps on talking about her every time. She keeps saying me and her best friend are alike in personalities and stuff, which makes me jealous, if she loves me for those things only. She knows i am jealous of her best friend but she keeps bringing her up. And keeps on comparing us.

I really dont know, sometimes she is much more happy to be around her than she is with me.

Am i just too jealous or is there something wrong. Please help me its creating a problem in our relationship.

Get over it. You'll give yourself alot of stress for nothing and if you stay with her you'll realise
there's nothing to be jealous about.( lived the same situation with my husband)

You will never fill her best friends shoes "BUT" she will never fill yours!

So don't worry, after a while this will get old and your girlfriend will stop bugging you with her
once you don't give it any attention. Don't forget it's a turn on sometimes to have a jealous
boyfriend. Especially in a case like this where you can't accuse her of cheating or doing anything
wrong. So she gets the kick out of it and you can't say anything! But like I said before, it'll get
old and you guys will move past this. Don't worry!

I don't judge! Would have to think I'm better and wiser to do that and it's definitely not
the case and never will be. But it does change my answer.

The best thing I can suggest is to have a heart to heart with her and let her know how
this is affecting you. Definitely no suggestions of picking. If her best friend has been for
a long time, you wouldn't want to put her in that position. But she has to understand in
what position she's putting you! If you can have this talk with her, after that you should
be able to figure out if your willing to put your trust in this girl or not. Because that is the
issue and trust is very important in any relationship. Best of luck!

Since your girlfriend is apparently attracted to women, that makes her best friend a potential romantic partner. Thus, she is engaging in what most women would consider an emotional affair. Therefore, she is being insensitive and disrespectful of you and your relationship. I am guessing that all of you are under 20 so she might just need a little relationship education.

If you present it to her as being insensitive and disrespectful to you rather than demanding that she stop or accusing her of something, you might get her to see the light and alter her behavior voluntarily.

            Good luck

No matter what gender u r.. U need to move on. What u r feeling is hurt not jealousy. let her know u guys r now friends. And walk away.... . Ur status in this relationship sounds like it unfort.ly changed .

                Thank you everyone for answering.

Hm, well we are in early 20's both are 21. And i did have a talk with her earlier regarding the same. She laughed it off saying i was just jealous of her best friend and that i am insecure. I brushed it off , but what she failed to understand that time was how much it was affecting me.

Just for instance, last night we were talking on call and instead of talking about us all she did was talk about her, about how close they both are, how she does this , how she does that, etc.

I do trust her but this isn't helping. But the main thing is i love her and she says she loves me too and i dont want to break this amazing thing we have.

I tried talking to her an hour ago about the same, i told her it hurts me how she keeps bringing her up and it bothers me. All i got was her saying in (annoyed manner) 'ok i wont bring my friends up then' , she isnt trying tp understand. And somehow i fail to understand what is my fault.
