Dude, you could have put a few things back, and then gone through the express line again! :-) Your were absolutely right not to ask for her number the first time but there's nothing wrong with letting her know you're interested in talking to her more.
My advice: go to the store more often for fewer things! She'll notice you're coming in more often, and unless she's just completely oblivious, she'll figure out why.
Good luck!

Good news Kitty and Popcorn! I saw her yesterday...I went in shortly before closing so it was not busy at all and got a chance to chat with her for a few minutes. I asked her about her name, since it was not one I recognized, and it turns out she's from an ethnic background I'm somewhat familiar with. We chatted a for a couple of mins before another customer came and I had to leave.
A possible downside is that due to the time crunch, I forgot to introduce myself and tell her my name.
I suspect though that she now knows I like her, lol...how could she not since I'm always in her checkout line haha.Comment

Haha, it seems that closing time trips to the store are going to be more frequent. Good luck!I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
