How do I get over the lost of best friend I slept with, my husband found out?

I need help. Is it possible to have a best friend I slept with back after my husband found out? How can I get over my best friend when he said he never want to talk or see me again. He said I was pressuring him to be a best friend. He swore he will always be my best friend and be there for me.
I will make it short. I have been married to my husband for 4 years. I have been friend with my friend for 2 years and we became close (bestfriend) in the last 2 years. He also very close friend with my husband as well. They went to college, graduated and play in a band together. We always go to the beach, hangout together. Almost everywhere we go he goes with us. We are very close. I know what I did is wrong but I don’t want to loose a friend.

For the last 2 years my best friend has been treating me as his “girlfriend”. He always say sweet thing and flirty. I felt for it and this year I slept with him. 2 months ago my husband found out from reading my email from him. He is very upset at both of us, but he is willing to for give it and move on. He tries to make it work because he knows I don’t want to loose a friend. It’s nice of him after what I have done to him.

Last week, my bestfriend called my husband and told him that he doesn’t want to talk, see or communicate with us ever again. He told him that I was never his best friend and I was pressuring him to be my bestfriend. I was devastated. I am shocked that he told that to my husband to tell me. He won’t say it to me. He always told me how much he loves me and care for me and will always be there. he told me I was his the best best friend he ever had before I said anything to him. And now all of the sudden he said I was never his bestfriend. I helped him so much in the past 4 years. I help in with financial problems, be there for him when he needs to talk. I am so sad and cry for a week now. I just can’t believe all this time he lied about friendship. I just don’t believe it. All the things he told me is total opposite what he said to my husband. Do you think I should call him and find out the truth from him? Even though I should be talking to him anymore because he cut me off. How do I get over this? In my heart I don’t believe he can do this. I just don’t know what to think. I am loosing him as a friend forever after 4 years. I don’t know how to live without him not be part of my life. Please help.

simply sounds like he was using you, for the financial side of it or even for the side of sex, simply sounds like he has no morals for sleeping with good mates wife...

I have bad views on cheating so i won't go on, because this is a help forum not a flame forum.

Oh pish posh. He wasn't using you, hunny. What you felt was REAL. Now, your decision to make must be related to what is best for you. I know you feel selfish for cheating on your husband already but life is too short NOT to be selfish sometimes. Obviously you wouldn't have slept with him and potentially ruined your relationship with you husband had this not been important!

hokay. SO you need to make possibly the hugest decision of your life. If you love this guy, take a leap of faith. Pack up everything TODAY and leave your husband. Just go. Call your beau up and tell him you left your husband and you want to be with him. If you love your husband, forget that other guy. You can love both, but you certainly cannot have both.

So far your husband's been pretty supportive of you especially staying with you afterward and even talking to his friend after all the drama. He seems to really love you and care about you if he's being this supportive. Chances are he'll be supportive of you two just being friends (it might take time).

All I'm saying is that you need to make that decision and stick with it. Don't drag your caring husband in the dust if you're giving eyes to someone else. But if you want to stay with your husband and truly love him more, you need to forget about that other man. It's quite a decision, but you can do this girl!
This country throws the baby out with the bathwater, and it's darned "patriotic."
