Confused with ex
Me and my boyfriend broke up 8 weeks ago after a 2 year relationship. We are meeting up in a few days as friends, in the eveningtime for drinks.. we have talked on the phone a few times and i can still feel a spark, though i dont know if its one way.. I don't think he has anyone new though i cant be sure.. I have looked around and though i think there are nice guys out there and have tried, i still miss him. The break up was pretty mutual.. I broke up with him because he was not putting in enough effort and i was stressed out at the time, he broke up with me a week later after we got back together as he said we were killing one another.. After some time apart i feel calmer though and can see how i had become, and how much more relaxed i am with some space from him. I am wondering should I even think about going back there, if he wants to or is it time to move on. Perhaps i am only remembering the good times.. but I am so exited about our 'date', and I cant help it! wat should i do? -
Personally, i think you are living in the "past" the fact that you feel good and can understand things differently, is the freedom that you have established at finding you.
If it was on, off, on, off, on, off before, then you need to see that what you are experiencing is you... and how you have been as a result, without.
Sorry, that's my gut feeling on it all.
Your excited because you want to scream, I understand it all now, look at me, we can do this.
But, it will fall back into the same rut. Remember WHY you broke up with him, even if you think you have changed, he is the same person he was before that stressed you out.

why dont you just go for drinks and see how it goes? I wouldnt get all gushy or do anything rash like just going right back to where you were and end up having a one night fling. but depending on how you two "click" over drinks, you may wanna consider saying something like "ya know, I miss this" and see how he responds.Comment
