OK so why do perfectly happily married men cheat

Just throwing out this question, for some opinions. Will a man who claims he is happily married cheat ? And if he does, WHY ?
  • Guest

Why do perfectly happy women cheat...I mean really it's not all gender based..It is individual and what that individual is experiencing in life..

The problem is that life is not black and white, and the gray area in life is the part in the middle that explains why their "perfectly happy" front is just that, a front.

I will never look down on someone who cheats UNLESS I know the person personally and know that the person is justbeing a downright(EDIT) But most of the time there are underlying issue's that lead people to cheat and the age old "you shoud just leave before you cheat ", doesn't work in every goven situation...*shrugs* Who am I to judge any book by the cover?

Many men who appear (and claim) to be happily married aren't. It is difficult to tell from outside. (same true for women -who also cheat).

Maybe he isn't getting the love and affection he wants from his wife

Maybe he isn't getting sex, or the sort of sex he wants.

Maybe his wife has change physically so that he is no longer attracted to her.

Maybe he simply can't control his lusts - is a sex addict, or has terrible self control.

Maybe he feels there is "something" missing in his life and he thinks an affair will fill it.

Maybe he just wants it, and thinks he can get away with it.

None of these are valid excuses - if someone isn't happy with their spouse, they should leave not cheat.

But - imagine someone who loves their wife, but she won't sleep with him (and he has tried everything he can). What should he do? Leave the woman he loves? Live without sex? Cheat?

          Ahh the golden question....

What are people in this position suppossed to do, when their spouse has all the control over their sex lives and they refuse to be intimate with what is suppossed to be thier partner in life, their spouse, the only one thing that seperates them from being room mates with kids!

Leave, the one they love dearly!

          Live unhappily and rejected!

          Cheat?

No, because to me if he's happy that means in every way, so therefore if he does he's not happy

I feel there's not a truly happily married man out there that cheats!

My statement is bare bones but what else can be said?

Because they are "not" perfectly happy.. They love their wife but something is missing.

Or, because deep down they can't grasp the concept of the word marriage, and so they are still reveling in bachelorhood.

Or, because they think with their... when they see a pretty woman and can't help themselves, nature of the beast and have no Morals.

Or, because they think that they can get away with this "one time".

Or, because the female component of the two is a man eater and doesn't care about wives at all and per sues...

It's an individual reason, not one you can put into a box.

There are way more things going on that can be said in a post on a forum..

If you want to answer this question then there has to be a in depth look in the relationship and EFFORT of both parties...

In the history of the world, has marriage ever made people monogamous?
