how do i assure him; that vanity isn't important to me

    hi folks.

i have a question for ladies and gents. my bf of almost 2 years feels like he's starting to loose his hair. he thinks that once he starts completely balding that i wont have that raw passion i have for him now. i told him that i will. i tried to reassure him that its not really important to me. he said that hair is basically a man's well being. and if or when he starts to completely loose his hair he'll be depressed. this makes me sad because i can't get through to him that its not important to me. some men actually look great bald! i don't want him anticipating me leaving him because he's getting old.

another part of me is thinking why is he thinking about this?

Fear does that to you hun.

Lack of confidence, as well if he fears that he will get depressed, he's already talking himself into that.

Van Diesel / Brue Willis now they are both very sexy, sexy men are they not?

Go buy some movies with them in it and put them on in front of him, and watch them, make a comment, such as man he's hot.. oops sorry love but what? He is..

So many men fear being bald however, it seems that so many women in today's day and age find it sexy, where as he's living in the old world.

He obviously feels you would walk if he was bald which is silly but then again, tell him "I'm not superficial", only a superficial woman would even think like that..

Going to leave me when my boobs start to droop?

CW: good point. i told him that if one person in the relationship leaves because of something the other person can't control; then you don't want to be with that person anyway. he said other girls have told him that. IMO those girls were superficial to begin with. i mean one of his ex's got upset and angry because he didn't buy her flowers on valentines day...BUT he bought her a DIAMOND NECKLACE!! ungrateful znatch!

ANYWAY....i will try to do that. i know everyone has insecurities but i learned that if we let those insecurities get the best of us then what's the point in being in a relationship or living our lives?

      thanks CW

Me personally I have always had a thing for the anthony edwards look (ER guy with the thinning hair and glasses) I find that particular hair (or lack-of) hot on a good-looking guy. I would avoid saying things like 'vanity isn't important to you' to him though, because the very nature of how that is sounding makes it sound like you are saying... it doesn't look good but you love him anyway ( I know thats not what you mean).

Like a woman asking her husband, do you think I look fat and him saying... ahh honey don't worry I don't care about your body its your heart that matters... sure its a sweet thing to say but its also kind of saying 'yep i think your fat'... so use caution
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

its so funny, my boy is thinning in the hair department, cant say it ever worried me, but when i told a friend that this really nice, and quite handsome (in my opinion) other guy liked her, she said he has a bald spot i could never ever sleep with him. sounds like he might be having an attack of insecurity, hope everything works out ok.

The best way to let him know you still have raw passion for him is to demonstrate it directly and frequently.

The LOML is going bald and he is so sexy! I just love giving him scalp and neck massages and telling him how much I love his head. (pun intended) You know it's supposedly caused by testosterone? Tell him it's just proof of how very male he is.

thanks folks for the advice. i guess i need to show more of how i want that passion. however; its kinda tough for me trying to please someone if i know they are upset; it just makes me upset. i know i have to be the strong one since he's been the strong one for me as well.

yes i can vouch for that WC, my ex has a lovely thick head of hair, we used to call it famous peoples hair, and he was only good for 1.5 minutes of sex every 6 months, my new lover has very thin hair but is a sex god! it makes sense to me.
