    How to forget about him

I had been talking to this guy just as friends. We formed such a great friendship, that we started falling for each other. We decided to start to get to know each other on the "next level". Everything was going great. Hes was super sweet & we talked ever single day. He would tell me how I changed his life and how thankful he was to have me in his life. That he'd been looking for someone like me. I shared the same feelings with him.
I thought this was really going some where. We would talk about our future together, we shared our dreams and goals with each other. His whole family/friends knew about me and vice versa. I thought this was getting very serious. We never argued or fought, not once. Then one day, I called him, as usual (since we talked every single day, and texted throughout the day) but he didn't answer. I figured he was busy because he did tell me he was going to help a friend with his xmas decorations...but he never texted or called back that day. The next day, I didnt get a "good morning my love" text or call...so around noon I called him and he didnt answer.

I logged on to facebook, and his status was updated, so I knew he was OK but didnt understand why all of the sudden he wasnt talking to me. Long story short, he got tagged in a photo, (this is a few days after we were talking about how much we liked each other and made each other happy) and the photo was of him and another female. I clicked on the picture and read the comments, and my heart sank. All these "awws" and "congrats" "you guys are so cute" and then the one that killed me the most was a comment he posted saying "Thanks guys, we're very happy. She came into my life when I least expected " then on her page, he left a post dedicating a love song to her.

whattttt? what happened? and if he was no longer interested in me, why didnt he at least tell me!! I dont understand what happened. How could he have found someone in a matter of days????? and how could he be so insensitive to not even call me to break things off. Well, I took him off my friends cuz I didn't want to see or read those comments cuz it hurt so bad. I havent heard from him since, the last text I received from him said "Your the sweetest person ever" how does he go from that, to not talking to me at all?

None of my friends or family understand how I feel, they all just say "forget him, he wasnt worth it. you'll find someone better"

Now I agree with them, but its so hard to do, because I never got closure!!! I want to call him and ask him what happened, but it seems he's already happy with someone else, so i dont wana seem like the annoying ex.

I also just want to re-state that this all happened in a matter of DAYS.

Im trying to fit the pieces together but the more I think about it, the more upset I get.

How can I get over him?? how can i stop thinking about him? and this whole situation? he was my best-friend, my everything....and now hes gone and I dont even know what happened. I feel like yelling at him, sending him an angry text or leaving a voicemail letting him know how I feel & how much of a jerk he is. But Im too grown to be acting that way. I realize how immature that would be.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I really needed to get it off my chest. I'm hoping that you guys will be able to help

you don't mention that you have ever actually met each other..just talked and texted..you say that this girl just popped into his life and now they are a couple..i suspect he was playing you and had this woman with him all along..i'm sure she knows nothing about you either and i'm sure he would like to keep it that way..

take your friends advice and forget about him..my anger toward him would overshadow any feelings that i had..i'd be over him or her in a heartbeat under those circumstances

I do agree with Dr Mansview, that it "appears" that this was more of an Internet relationship? with texting and calls?

I'd say it was more than a few days and that he was "falling for you", but he was also actively living his life and slowly this girl got closer and closer and as it was face to face contact on-going, they ended up together.

Can you correct us if we are wrong? That, being the Internet/phone/text but not actually in person..

Irrespective, the closure is that he probably did get on well with you and cared about you but he wasn't true to you or himself, in his conversations and you wouldn't want a guy like that in your life, because he would cheat on you, as he did, emotionally, as you fell for him.

        thanks for your comments!

we did see each other but we live far from each other so it wasnt very often, thats why our main form of communication was through the phone.

I think when I posted this, I was just very emotional about the situation & needed to let it all out. I felt very used, and that's what he did, he just used me.. But I feel much better now, not worried about the closure part either, it just wasnt meant to be. Life goes on. Thanks again

I just saw your post. it might be too late but i had a very similar experience so when I was reading your post, i just needed to reply to you. I met a guy and we became really close. We talked every day and hung out often but we remained friend. One day, the situation changed. How? I don't know but it did. I didn't get any explanation or anything but I have to take the fact that our friendship had to end suddenly. I couldn't get over him for a while. So I think I can understand how you felt about and how hard it is. Whatever it is, I know now that he was not the right person for me. However, I still appreciate our encounter though. Even the time we spent together wasn't so long, I had good time together and I am fine now.
I just want to tell you that people are coming and going in our life with certain reasons.
          Hope you feel better soon.
