yeah, I know he SAYS it's not me, but I know him very well, and I think he is just saying that so I won't worry or think he is mad at me. I know he isn't upset with me, I just think that he is confused and doesn't know how else to deal with it. I believe that he made contact with me today to let me know that he is ok, he knows I worry about him when I don't hear from him for a while. We told each other our feelings in early November, I withdrew for a few days to process it (but I let him know exactly what was going on with me). We came to a mutual agreement, then our friendship went back to normal. He still confided in me about everything, nothing was different until recently. I really believe that this has something to do with our feelings for each other, I can feel it... I just don't know what exactly he is feeling or thinking, and I wish I could get him to talk to me but I know that I can't push it. This hurts but, I'll wait as long as it takes, he means a lot to me, and I know he will talk to me when he is ready. Thanks, just needed to vent. -
another update...
OK so last night I finally got my BFF to open up to me about what has been bothering him. He has been in a bout of depression over a bunch of things, mainly about his relationship. He is feeling very frustrated that he is putting in all the effort, and not getting anything back, among a lot of other little things. He feels that his relationship is falling apart, and him being afraid of change, he just puts up with all this and continues to be miserable.
I wanted to advise him, but I felt I was out of place doing that because I'm not exactly a neutral party in this situation. I hate seeing him like this, he is my best friend and I deeply care about him. Of course I would be thrilled if he finally broke it off and we ended up dating... but not because I have feelings for him, because I want him to be happy. However, I don't feel right saying this to him because I don't want him to think that I'm deliberately trying to end his relationship so we can be together. I want to help him, but don't know how. Any ideas?Comment
