Have you ever accidentally spilled someone else's big secret?
Went to a party on the weekend where I had a bit too much to drink, and I think I accidentally outed someone as being gay. My friend didn't say anything but she hasn't spoken to me since and I don't know how to bring it up. I feel sick to my stomach.

I think alot of people have, during a drinking session.
You have to be open and honest with her and "pose that question" and explain that it's not your nature, rather the alcohol and how sorry you are if she states that you did.
Don't sit on the fence, "no punt intended", as friends are important you can only count them on one hand.

yes i have, but i wasnt drunk at the time. i was under a lot of personal stress and just insinuated that someone had told me about something. wasnt a big secret, but it was something that destroyed our trust with each other.Comment

I've said things I REALLY shouldn't have - and I didn't have being drunk as an excuse. I think everyone has done it at some point - all you can do is apologize for what you said - and not either confirm or deny the statement - just say you were "drunk", "upset", "not thinking", whatever seems most appropriate.Comment

Thanks for your feedback, guys.
I am scared to bring it up in case she forgot all about it (she was quite drunk too), so then I would basically be dobbing myself in. Maybe I am just being paranoid, but when someone doesn't answer my emails or texts I start to worry. It's usually nothing but anyway. I am just a big ball of worries lol.
