I work in sales so its soo much easier for me to now talk over the phone as i cant be assed to text.. I used to hate talking over the phone.. I dont always call but if i havent seen him in a while and just wana chat as he doesnt have internet atm then i just go with it as long as you ask likek if theyre free for like ten mins then im sure he will be fine with it. -
my gf and i are long distance and we call each other several times a day. actually we both go to sleep with our phones on speaker still connected. you might call that a little over the top but when i wake up and hear her tell her she loves me at 3am when she is rolling over in bed..its the best thing in the world when they cant be in your arms."I met in the street a very poor young man who was in love. His hat was old, his coat worn, his cloak was out at the elbows, the water passed through his shoes, - and the stars through his soul."- Victor HugoComment

I agree with what HD originally posted. Calling the bf just to ramble on and on about pointless things does nothing for your relationship. Plus, it also kind of takes out the fun and excitement of a new relationship. Be happy that he is so amazing in person though.
My bf was actually a bit of the opposite--when we first got together, he would always call me, email me, & text me but was a little less open in person. Now, we have a nice even mix, but having someone who's comfortable enough to talk to you in person so openly is awesome!!

I totally agree. I dont speak to my boyfriend on a daily basis by phoning him. We prob phone each other once maybe twice a week. We text every day and email each other a lot, so if we did phone each other it would prob be just silence. ha!
Like HD, I phone my boyfriend if i have something to say that i couldnt possibly fit on a text or if im lonely and want to here his voice.

When my man and me first got together i used to text him a few times a day within the first few weeks and he never ever replied, and whenever he used to call he used to always make sure he was alone.
I thought this was really wierd but then after another week or so he opened up and told me he was dyslexic and this used to make him stutter on the phone when he couldn't understand some of the words i was saying over the phone and through text. We're over this now and we read and write for an hour a day, always make sure we have time for it nomatter how tired.
Could this be a possible problem for you?Comment

When my boyfriend and I were long distance, we talked about twice a week on the phone and did mostly text, email, and chat online. We are both not good on the phone... I have a phone almost solely for internet and texting, so texting and emailing were better ways for us to communicate clearly. It's totally different in person, we can hold a conversations for hours without it fizzling!Comment

Don't worry. Aside from calling one another to tell each other we're outside, we hardly talk on the phone at all. My boyfriend prefers face-to-face conversations as well. He considers phone calls and text messaging to be too devoid of emotion. Everyone's different, though. A friend of mine used to be on the phone with her boy for six hours a day! Insane. I couldn't do it.Comment
