I have felt the same way. I always feel I might be doing something wrong when it comes to trying to keep things platonic, because I too am flirtatious, especially after I swallow down some liquid courage.

I'm in a situation right now where I have a friend, Jon, who is just a friend to me, but to him, I'm potential girlfriend. Our situation went good for awhile, but now it has almost completely died and we haven't really spoken in a good week or so. The platonic relationship I was striving for with him is no more because of his desire for more than friendship. When one person wants the other and isn't receiving those same feelings in return, it can completely come to an end quick, especially if sex is involved.

I can definitely appreciate good looks when I see them, even though I'm not single, but inside MY mind that's not the same as "being attracted" to someone.....

Okay. I guess I can take comfort in the fact that my boyfriend had known these girls during an entire year of being single, and if he wanted to date one, he would have. But instead he met me and asked me out right away.

I've been doing really well with keeping my jealous nature in check these past few months, but every now and then, questions like these, and fears, just pop up... Glad I have somewhere to go and talk about it though...

I think I started thinking about it because a) I went to a party and had trouble NOT giving the wrong idea to guys and b) my boyfriend recently got back in touch with a really (imo) gorgeous girl who he claims is one of his BEST friends. She does have a boyfriend at the moment though.

Well, you can't stop people from being attracted to your boyfriend...unless you only date really unattractive men. After all, you're attracted to him.

          I know. You're right.

Anyway I am quite hypocritical with these things anyway... I just need to not over-analyze and BE CONFIDENT, as CW sometimes says.

Didn't mean to make this thread about my insecurities.
