    Something even more crazy!

So for those of you that have read about my current relationship with my BF you already know what's been going on.
    So here goes....
Lst night me and J were at the bar doing our usual kareoke Thursday night when out of the clear blue he says "Will you marry me?"
I said "how many beers did you drink?" lol!
He didn't give me a ring. He siad he was serious that once he gets things in order he would want to marry me.
I was shocked and still don't know wheter to really believe him or not.
I asked him this morening if he really meant what he said last night and he said yes or he would have never said it.
I do not want to get my hopes up so I'm just gonna go with the flow and see what happends.
So, so many changes would have to be made but to be honest with you I'd be extatic just to be engaged for the next 5 years!
I really hope this actually happens!
Everyone please keep your fingers and toes crossed for me.

As a WH friend, I've been somewhat critical in the past,

However, if this is something that you want, then I can only wish happiness and best wishes.

      Congratulations.

I hope Not to be the one to put a damper on things... but from the other post , perhaps maybe he got the feeling that he was skating on some really thin ice as far as maybe you deciding to end the relationship... if so this might be his last ditch effort to keep you from leaving ... but I guess the sentiment would be the same (that he doesn't want to ever be without you)

As long as his motivation is coming from the right place, then congrats I hope it all goes through and he gets it together

          WH friends... definately

I'm not going to be synical though, perhaps, you've made him realise that through all the bad, you stand your ground... as you have, even with his ****e...

It's an estatic feeling being proposed to especially for all you have gone through.

Thanks for deciding to be excited and share it with us

The 5 years? Definately at least a while He meant it... now focus on how to be a union of two people, and if that doesn't occur and you feel down and out still, spoken down to... then know that you were engaged and so, can be again

I'm not going to say much on this, but a loooong engagement sounds like a good idea.

Well Like I said he didn't geive me a ring he just said it out of the clear blue.
I asked him if he was serious yesterday after he got into another arguement over the phone with his ex about their daughter. He became defensive and said tha I was putting him on the spot. He said he need to get his life together first. Heis ex has been gone a year and half of her furniture is still at his house. He was screaming at her that he wants it out of his house.
He asked me to be patient with him and told me it would all work out.
He said that the only thing he has second thoguhts about is that when we argue I say I'm gonna leave him right away. He doesn't understand that I say it because eh is making me really angry and I feel rejected so rather than him tell me to get lost I take the intiative and just say I'm gonna leave.
I tried to tell him it's because of all I've gone through in the past.

Either way it was at least nice to hear him ask me or know that he is even thinking about wanting to spend his life with me.
