Anyone tried dating sites?
I browse through dating sites and never see anything I like, or if I do see someone I might be interested in, I am too nervous to even contact them. I also don't want any info about me on site to protect my privacy.
But I can't find any quality people in my daily life. Most of the past men have come from bars....no more of that! -

i know two people who have used those sites.
one went through a lot of dates and did end up marrying someone she had met online.
another has gone through quite few dates, but nothings really clicked for her.
IDK, maybe stop hanging out at bars and just live life. it's amazing, everywhere you go nowadays there seem to men around... -

That being said, I know quite few women wondering where all the 'good' men are
Never used one but I can imagine that going to all these dates must take a toll on you, your energy, let alone the need to still have the spark going out.

I wrote a thread on this when I first joined
Can't just quite locate it at present.
I'll try to recall.
Yes, I have tried, I actually met my ex husband on one but there are rules, there are problems and there are things you need to consider.
I met mine on a "paid one" $1200 or so for men.. Seriously looking for their future partner, so more mature.
Free dating sites? Questionable... Pending on age.. Youth? See it as a way of scoring, let's face it a confident young man wouldn't need to now would he?
A recently separted man, may try it, but how much baggage does he have?
An older man, lonley...
A girl, well what ever age, in general she is sincere, really looking, here underlys the problem.
If you go on a dating, site do it for this reason and this reason only, as I did, to get out there, dress up, remember your a woman how ever old you are, and stay in touch with the outside world and the dating seen.
Always, take yourself to the date, always pick a public place, never give out your address and never walk to your car in an empty car park on your own.
And, no I'm not being a Mum.. I've seem my fair share of jerks too from those dates.
I found them to be, exactly how I've explained above.
Even my ex, having spent $1200 to join, he chose me, because I owned my own house... It was between me and another, she too owned her own house, he just thought I was more attractive, so WT?
My now man I met accidentally... when I gave up... via just going out, to a restaurant...
So, please be very careful with dating sites. Do it to keep in touch and don't hold much too them.
If you think about it bars are very simular.. Especially when you both have had a few to drink, you need to find environments that are just day to day, and it will happen, every dating site I know of, I have read over and over and over again, how the women got hurt, he said though?
Be careful..

I think that finding the man is part of the experience. And dating sites do that for you. I have found that just when you stop looking, the right man comes along. So don't stress about it. Just live your life and have fun. The right man is there. But if your looking to hard you might look right past him.sigpic☮“I am convinced that the women of the world, united without any regard for national or racial dimensions, can become a most powerful force for international peace and brotherhood.â€☮Comment

I think dating sites are fun if you are not seriously looking. Well they say you find the one when your not looking. There are those to be leary about and you should always meet in a public place and maybe with some friends. I have met many men through dating site, many of whom have become my best friends and one who it my fiance. Some people believe strictly in fate and I say sometimes you have to tickle it a little. Before you actually meet the person you should feel them out through texting or phone chats. And although you may not seem interested by their profiles, some can be surprisingly different and just what you like. Another idea is to go to a small sports bar or pool hall and sit at the bar and order your drink, I promise you will meet some interesting men that way. There are probably many men that are interested in you outside of the dating sites, but remember, men are so afraid of rejection that they may not make the move! Good Luck!Comment

It was actually pretty funny....I was looking for a dating site for my friend so that she would break up with her boyfriend and look for a better guy. She's afraid of being alone. Well I made an account and a guy popped up to talk to me, the next night we went out. It has been 6 months and it doesn't look like we will be breaking up anytime soon.
My mom made an account on a paid site and she met her husband, they have been married for 5 years now.Comment
