I just brought it up because it does seem like others are always trying to push you into having the talk regardless of what you think. I know they're just trying to look out for you, but still..Comment

I just brought it up because it does seem like others are always trying to push you into having the talk regardless of what you think. I know they're just trying to look out for you, but still.. I am sure because of the guys I've dated in the past, that also greatly affects the people that are asking me about it. They all know I'm in a much better place, but I think they just worry. And I truly appreciate it, I do, but I can have all the talks in the world and what really matters is how we interact, how he treats me and how I feel. All of those things are truly positive when I don't let my own insecurities get the best of me. He is truly a wonderful, kind, amazing man and person in general. I never expected to find someone who had been right under my nose for years, but that's just how it works out sometimes

My only advice... Who cares what others think... They are not living your life and yeah, they may worry, but you are an adult and can make your own decisions. You know what your relationship is and how true it is, you don't need to prove anything to anyone by satisfying their curiosity for you to have this so called talk. It is none of their business. If you don't want to get into the details of your relationship status with anyone, just do as someone else suggested, say Yes, we have had the talk. No one will be none the wiser.Comment
