I agree with WC. If he tries (operative word here is HE....not his friends, family, etc) to get together with you to talk, then meet with him. Do alot of listening...and if things get silent, let them be silent. It's amazing the things people will reveal and discuss when there is uncomfortable silence. Keep in mind that you do not owe him a relationship. However, as WC says, he has a responsibility to the baby you're carrying and he needs to understand that. Whether or not you two end up back together is a whole seperate issue.

I've seen guys get back with their "baby momma" to avoid having to pay child support. Ironically, they end up spending less and having less responsibility for their child if they keep the baby's momma around because she's not only taking care of the baby, but taking care of him too. So be careful to avoid that. Focus on your baby right now....... all else can wait.

Thank you for the advice i met with him however he did not say much he was in tears, all he ever said is he needs me however i told him time will tell and he is not my priority anymore myself and the baby are, all he's ever done since we met is to call me check up on me and to also calls me before he sleeps he has said nothing constructive so far and i'm playing along, i'm not asking him a thing about us, until he stopped calling on Saterday until today which is Tuesday i have'nt heard a word from him and i' have not bothered myself calling him either, Honestly i have gone used in spending time on my own and it does'nt bother me anymore that he's not around like it used ,,,,,,it is so true that time heals and thank you again for your support and positive responses

Sorry to hear about your situation. The most important thing is to look after your health as you have your baby to think of. I realise that this is easier said than done, as you are right to feel feel angry/sad/confused/betrayed etc. You need to start eating again as your unborn baby depends on you for his/her nutritional needs. You mentioned that your boyfriend was happy about the pregnancy at first. Although, I think he behaved badly by leaving you it is normal for men to feel scared about becoming a father and being responsible for a child etc. My daughters father left me when I was pregnant. When I told him the news he made me choose between him and the baby. The baby won hands down as there was no way that I wanted an irresponsible jerk as a Father for my daughter. I know its a cliche, but time does heal. Make sure that you have people that you can confide in as you should not be going through this by yourself. I hope that things work out for you :-)

He needs you? that is really selfish of him. How about your needs and that of your unborn baby?. I know it will be hard raising the child on your own but i am sure that friends and family will be there to support you. In my opinion you are better off without him, but that decision can only be made by you. Good Luck

I don't know what I can say that hasn't already been. Good luck with your baby. I am sure your Eight year old is really excited to have a new baby brother or sister. I am not worried about it because you have already raised a child alone and you can do it again. I am just sorry you have to. Children really change things and it appers that he just couldn't handle it. But being a mommy is a far greater accomplishment than being a good sitter for you boyfriend. He needs to grow up and you can't help him do that. He needs to do it on his own. So focuse on doing the best you can with your eight year old and you unborn and give them all the love they deserve. Again Good Luck sweetheart.

I'm so sorry to hear that pule_p, but also good luck for you in your pregnancy. You're a strong woman and it proves already. I feel you so much when reading this, I've never experienced this but it makes me real sad just to see how on earth a guy could leave his pregnant girlfriend, while she is possibly his closest person on earth. Yes you have to take care of your health and pregnancy and try to make him less important in your life. But it will be a good thing if you two can get back together, he should know what he's been through right now.. He is the father of your child, til forever. I'm also sure he is very stressed and perhaps dont know what to say or dont know how to say many things by word. I still hope he can make up his mind, be responsible, and come back though. He can't just leave like that. Don't stop your communication with him unless he is acting abusive.

But above all, please do take care of yourself first and the baby inside. I hope you're doing fine
