    Question.

So, I posted about my previous situation before. My ex and I finally got back together after like a six week seperation. We had just been hanging out, being cuddly, holding hands, kissing, etc. Its only been like two weeks since we started hanging out again and a couple of days ago he told me that he had been doing a lot of thinking. He said he needed me, wanted to be with me forever, and was ready to be with me again. So he took days to think about it seriously apparently. Which I took as a very good sign because our relationship was fragile.

Then today (a couple of days later) he sends me a text saying "I'm so confused about us. :/" Then I found out that he didn't really consider us together at this point. And maybe I just assumed too much but I figured by the way we were acting that we were together. Unless he just randomly changed his mind today. And I asked why and then he didn't really answer. I found out that he just thinks we have different life paths and stuff. Which I have no idea what he's talking about. After the break up I went out and bettered myself. Got a full time job and everything. Everything to impress him and make him want me back. But the break up was time for me to heal and work on me.

However, he made me promise him something the first day we saw each other after the break up. He said "Don't let me do this again." Then I sent him a text saying "Remember that one day you said for me to not let you let me go again? Well, that's what I am trying to do." However, he did say that he didn't want to hurt me anymore. BLAH.

He said. "I just need time, time to figure me out." (replying to that text) So that leaves me with some sort of hope. I just don't understand why he keeps going back and forth? We have been having a great time together unless its gotten to the point that he is getting scared from it going too well. I'm just really confused. So I am just wondering if he needs this time to work on himself like I did previously? The break ups have never been mutual, always him. Plus, I don't really know if we are done or not. He said he just needed time. He never did say it was over or that he never wanted to see me again.

Has the situation about having kids been completely resolved?
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
    ...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, Virginia

Yes, I told him that no matter what happened in the future I was going to have children. I did not attach it directly to him. I don't know for sure if he ever really believed me on it. So that may have been a problem. We didn't really have much chance to talk about it in depth though. Its only been two weeks.
