HisBabyGirl - Oh my!! LOL!! Luckily my friend isn't the type to just go to bed and leave him to fend for himself. SHe's quite overprotective, but also seems less than capable of seeing his wrongs as being something serious. Sometimes she does the right thing....like a few weekends ago when they got home from a gas station, she realized he had stolen several pieces of bubble gum. When she discovered this, she took him back to the gas station and made him return it and apologize. I was SO proud of her for that. But I'm still FAR from convinced that if they were with me, someone they're comfortable with, that she'd reprimand his behavior as needed. And then as the friendly friend, you're stuck in the position of a. sucking it up and just taking the total chaos in your home or b. speak up and risk making friend mad.

I've decided that if the situation arises, I'm prepared to speak up and risk making her mad. Not to tell her how to parent, but to tell her I'm just not going to deal with it.
