Starting to feel content on my own.....is this a good thing
After a horrible and painful split with my ex boyfriend, I'm starting to feel very happy with being on my own, getting things done for me, changing my body, playing sport ect, and to be honest I don't want to have a relationship at the moment, is this normal?"Eventually all the pieces fall into place...until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment and know that everything happens for a reason". -
Meh.... What is normal? Normal can only be defined by you.
Is it a good thing? ABSOLUTELY!
Regardless if you are in a relationship or not, you need to be your own person, you need to be content with yourself and what you are doing before you can ever be happy in a relationship, IMO. If you are too entrenched in the other person in your relationship, I think you start to lose yourself and soon become a shell of the person you once were. The more content you are NOW, the better a relationship with be in the FUTURE.
Live life for yourself right now. If you don't want a relationship right now, more power to you! -
Thank you for your kind words, I guess the only way I can describe it is being content, eventually yes I would like a relationship and a future, a family but for now I am becoming increasingly comfortable in my own skin, and yes time is a healer they are all right"Eventually all the pieces fall into place...until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment and know that everything happens for a reason".Comment

This makes me very very happy to hear.Thank you for your kind words, I guess the only way I can describe it is being content, eventually yes I would like a relationship and a future, a family but for now I am becoming increasingly comfortable in my own skin, and yes time is a healer they are all right
I can't tell you how exhausting it is to watch people jump in and out and back in and back out of relationships constantly. Never even once considering that they truly need some time to themselves. The fact that you are content, is an AWESOME thing. This means you've grown, continuing to grow, are learning about yourself, reflecting, enjoying who you are, and are confident in your skin. Be proud, be very proud.
