Can't really comment since your question is pretty broad. How do you act when you're mad at him that would make him think you don't like him anymore? What kinds of things do you get upset about? Has he never just been mad at someone he cares about? Being upset isn't the end-all for any relationship, friends, family or otherwise, it's just being upset over something.

Have you considered that this guy is just not appreciating what you do for him and it's not you that has to change?? From what you've said it seems like you're doing a lot and that you're really trying to show him you love him. If he can't appreciate that then he should find someone else and so should you. It's only been 8 months so the relationship is still young, which makes it easier to leave. On the other hand, maybe you're approaching arguments in the wrong way. Maybe he feels attacked when you start to argue. Make sure you're not attacking who he is, but instead tell him what's upsetting you. Say something like, "I really like when we go out and do things, but I feel like you haven't wanted to lately. Is something wrong?" This opens it up to communication, you started off with something positive, and you've told him that it's something that YOU'RE FEELING.

Only you will know what makes this guy really happy, so doing something that makes him smile will show that you care. Tell him something you admire about him and compliment him. Plan a date for the two of you. Giving someone their own space and free time also shows that you care about him because you can't be together all the time. But like I said before, if he doesn't appreciate the little things that you already do for him, then I don't see how he would appreciate you doing MORE. I just feel like doing more wouldn't help and that this guy needs to appreciate what he has or walk.
