Long distance relationship - need some moral support!

    Hey guys,

Well basically I've got 3 weeks left until I'm reunited with my man (will be a total of 3 months of separation), and even though I can see the finish line now, I swear these last days are the HARDEST.

I find myself worrying (for no reason, believe me) about what our relationship will be like once we're reunited...

I worry about his dynamic with his ex girlfriend (had a thread about this a while ago), even though I KNOW I shouldn't...

I don't have a cell phone these last few weeks, so I don't receive those morning and night texts from him that I so loved the first 2 months we were apart...

I dunno, I guess moving back to the States from Korea has somehow put a bigger distance between us (he's in New Zealand)... and it's kinda hard for me to deal! And made worse probably by the fact that I have NOTHING to do around here!

I guess... I'm not really looking to analyze my specific situation, but I just wanna hear some words of comfort from people who have been in LDRs, reunited with their partners, and everything was fine.

My mind wanders in all crazy places these days and it needs to stop!

Relax! It will be fine. It would feel like the first time you went out - at least, that how we were, only difference is that that feeling of newness has more connection and certain with love and "I missed you"...

Most guys are "let's pick up where we left off" type, most women are "warm me up to get where we left off" type. It would be great to once again be next to him.

Don't worry about any problems. Think of the things you love about him whenver negative thoughts come up.

Welcome back! Bring me some kimchi (even if I don't eat it, lol!). XoXo...

Well, when you get here you will have to get some international phone cards and a cell phone contract. Then you will have to put up with the greater time difference between the USA and New Zealand. What part of the US are you going to? And oh, you'll have to put up with our slower internet.

You can chat, talk to or even see him if you both can manage to get a computer with internet. How hard can that be these days?

melissa we do email and phone each other. That's not the same as being together though!

jns I've already arrived in the States, yeah it's just hard to deal with such a ridiculous time difference. When I was in Korea it was only 3 hours!!

THANKS caterpillar, exactly what I was looking for You can take all my kimchi, I'll be happy if I never see the thing again.

Mes, I know it's hard. But like you said, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just take comfort in the fact that he loves you enough to ask to you move to the other side of the world with him, that is rare.
If it makes you feel any better, you're going to the most beautiful place in the world with the most wonderful people. I'd give my right arm to move there.
