Well, personally... I wouldn't contact him. I think he's moved on with his life, he's engaged and chances are you guys won't be able to become "friends" again, not in any way shape or form that resembles your old friendship. Put yourself in his fiance's shoes, you are engaged and in love and so very happy and here comes the ex gf rushing to the alter to 'friend' her ex before he gets snatched up for good... it might bother you. It might not, but just try to see it from that angle. Compare the benefits, what you stand to gain from contacting him... what he would stand to gain, what his fiance would stand to gain, and what would all be the same and better left unsaid.Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going. -
Thanks HD... although I really don't consider the cute little thing that happened when we were kids a "relationship", we were 9 years old and nothing ever happened between us other than hand-holding lol (and it only lasted for about two weeks). After that we were close friends, I don't consider him an "ex", and I'm sure he doesn't think of me that way either. We had a friendship, that's it... although he might know that I had feelings for him (maybe not, I don't know for sure). I was just thinking, it would be nice to be in touch with him again and catch up as friends, I do miss him... but like I said, I just think it's best left alone for now.Comment
