It's so normal to have nerves, I bet that guy just looked at you because your beautiful And, also thinking "this is the woman my mate is marrying", it's curiousity wanting to get to know you, eye contact is a good thing body language wise, a very good thing...

My "future fiancee" seeing as he bought a ring Asked me if I discuss our sex life here? I don't, it's good but I don't discuss it I see it as without his permission, it's not a thing to talk about, to me, it's morals, I think... And, I know he's the same, he will not discuss that with his mates either....

Your husband (CONGRATS AGAIN), is a great guy, he obviously fees comfortable having his mates around his new wife, instead of going out with them and leaving you alone, got to be happy with that....

Just be you, the only people that matter are you and your husband.... Don't change for other people, wear what you want, what you feel comfortable in and enjoy yourself...

Everyone had a good time, we had pizza and everyone except me drank a lot of wine or beer. Hubby made me a little mad when he told everyone I didn't drink because I was only 19, I don't like him telling my age. Everyone else wore jeans, I was the only one in a dress and the only one not drinking. One girl got sick in the bathroom and asked me for stuff to clean it up but I cleaned it up for her.

We watched a lot of music videos, I have a hard drive full of them on my computer. They were dancing on the patio. My hubby made me dance with him, I didn't want to because of our height difference. It looks like he is dancing with his daughter. All except one couple left at 12, we asked them to stay over because they had been drinking a lot and we didn't want them to drive. They are sleeping in the extra bedroom, my true love is asleep or passed out too. He had 3 beers, more than I've seen drink since I've known him. He went right to sleep.

I decided to get everything cleaned up before morning, been cleaning for over an hour and am just about done. Thanks everyone for the great advice, especially the person that mentioned making salad, I might have forgotten that. I just have the bag full of smelly empty beer cans and wine bottles to take out then I'm off to bed. Hubby is sound asleep so no fun for me tonight.

Whew! Dinner party #1 with friends over is behind you and was a complete success! Congratulations! As for your age and your husband mentioning it, just remind him as he may not have known that it bothered you. If he did know previously, just remind him again in a loving way.

As for your attire...completely appropriate and right on target, as you were one of the hosts, you should be dressed a bit nicer than you anticipate your guests will be. It's always beter to be "over" dressed for any event/ocassion then to be "under" dressed. When you do this again, I wouldn't change a thing other than the menu and even the menu I wouldn't change much. Keep it simple. These are friends, not food critics.

Nothing beats waking up to a clean house after having hosted a social gathering.

          Next time....wake him up!

Sounds like it went well. As the two of you and the freinds get a little older the people getting sick stuff should end.
I agree with Seeker on dress. YOU are never overdressed dear one, if anything, everyone else is a bit under dressed. You wear what feels and looks good for you!

Next time you could grab a nice frozen lasagne from Costco (there's are really good) and make another salad. Then it's "home cooked". I love to whip up a feast for 30 but I've been doing it for years. You just work into all this gradually.

I'll bet part of your hubby telling your age, is back door bragging. You may be young but you have strength, grace and perception that many older women don't.
