To clarify, I didn't set them up to be in a relationship. I met him through my friend and known him for several years. He has gone downhill with the choices he had made in life which was part of why my friend ended things with him and she's taking it hard. I never slept with him. we just had sex occassionally. The guy claims he's getting his(edit) together. I don't know that because we hardly see each other since their relationship has ended.

I do like him and I know he doesn't feel the same way. I would never have sex with someone I wasn't attracted to. I tell myself to just end it and ignore him because he only contacts me on his terms and doesn't show much interest in spending time with me when we meet. I don't like the "secretative" aspect of us meeting up either.

I had a text planned out when I hear from him that we can't see each other anymore but ended up ignoring it when he texted me and wanted booze and smokes.

You teach people how to treat you. There are plenty of guys out there in the world that would give you a hug and let you sexually please them now and then so long as you're accepting their treating you like last weeks garbage. A good rule is to ALWAYS treat people the way you want to be treated. And vice versa....expect people to treat you as you'd treat them. Is he treating you right now like you want to be treated? Are you treating your friend (his ex) like you'd want to be treated if you were in her shoes? Seriously...that's what it comes down to. You teach people how to treat you. And don't forget our old friend Karma.....she's a biiootch from what I hear.

He deserves nothing more than to be a part of your past because he doesn't care about you as a girlfriend, or as a friend and that's overwhelmingly obvious.

You've known both for several years then.

        she's taking it hard.
I never slept with him. we just had sex occassionally.
Then he used you sexually as well as financially...

I do like him and I know he doesn't feel the same way.
Why then are you letting youself down, and hurting your "friend"? You know full well she will not be your friend anymore once she finds out and one day she will...

I had a text planned out when I hear from him that we can't see each other anymore but ended up ignoring it when he texted me and wanted booze and smokes.
        Money does not buy happiness...

Look at all of this very carefully, you have to have a soul surely... Find someone that can be yours that can treat you right and that will appreciate the things you do for them..

Treat your friend with respect, stop all contact with this guy, friends don't do this...

You owe it to her and to yourself, stop being used....
