When to say, "I Love You."

He and I had been talking for two months before he asked me for a commitment. Once I decided to give that to him, things have been going very well, and we have now been in a committed relationship for 1 month, so altogether we have been seeing each other for 3 months. My big question is, is three months too early to tell someone you love them? It's crazy, I know we can see it in each others' eyes when we look at each other longingly. We've even talked about it, he has told me he's in love with me, and I've told him I'm in love with him, we just don't tell each other that we love each other on a daily basis. And the main part is, he is becoming my best friend. I was going to wait until six months before I dropped the L bomb on him, but sometimes I just want to tell him anyway, like it would just feel right to say it sometimes. So when do you think is a good time to start telling each other that? Or when was it that you and your significant other started telling each other that?

If you are in love with him and he is in love with you, it is never too soon to say to him that you love him and it is never too soon for him to say he loves you.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
    ...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, Virginia

When you feel it in your heart, mind and body.

"I love you" are just words, it's what's behind them that really make the difference.

When I tell the woman that I love "I love you", I get a chill....still...nearly every time I say it.

If you feel it in your heart, that you truly love him, then say it. But be sure it's really love, and not lust. It's easy to confuse the two early in a relationship.
