Me and my husband have been living together for 3 years and we have only slept in the same bed about 10 times. We have a healthy, loving, relationship and we snuggle on the couch every night before we go to our seperate rooms and go to sleep. I am a night owl and he goes to bed early to get up for work. I am a stay at home mom to our 5 month old daughter so I sleep later (as long as she lets me!) I am a very light sleeper and he talks, laughs, kicks, snores, humps, and hogs the bed lol, it does not work! We live in a 3 bedroom house and I am worried about the day when we have a 2nd child and have to share a bedroom. I think we will end up getting a california kind and some ear plugs! I would say that it is every couples choice and it works for some, and not for others. As long as your are both comfortable with the situation then there is no issue.
