I haven't tried any online therapists but what I do is read a lot of self-help books written by psychologists and other field experts that do address my issues and I read them one at a time. Some of these author/practitioners do provide online help or email reply to your unique issues.

I have never done any counseling by e-mail. I have done some via web cam and/or over the telephone and it was better than nothing.

$350 seems pretty high especially for e-mail only, regardless of the number of e-mails sent/received.

I believe that there is definitely something to the one on one contact with a counselor but if you can't do that then it would appear that counseling via web cam might be your next best option (IMO).

For me, it wasn't as good as my one on one sessions but it was better than nothing.

Keep thinking outside of the box. Ask some close friends, ask at your church, etc.
