joe, this isn't a race to the bottom/who has it worse kind of thread. Cyndie wasn't so focused on her hours as she was her bad boss and unpleasant workday. It is too bad that your commute is so long, I wouldn't want to deal with that... however, that does not negate the fact that Cyndie is displeased with her place of employment. Having a job is not where one's fortune ends. We can all be drones who work at some job, but there is a lot to be said for what enjoying your employment can do for your quality of life (considering most people spend 8-12 waking hours of their day working). -
you are right kmonte. i was not focused on my long hours because compared to many, my hours are good. what the concern was... was leaving work at work at the end of the day. here is an update on my work situation. and i did try and get hr involved and they just gave him a slap on the wrist and told him he was a bad boy basically. then, it made my work situation worse. but let me update you on my work situation.
my boss quit the first week of december. i have been in an empty office since then. my employer has contracted a replacement and his training is done next week. i have met my new leader and have gotten to know him over the last few months and he seems like a good leader. only time will tell but I have a good feeling about this. my work life has been so much better without that previous guy. what a jerk he was. i am glad that part of my life is over. i am ready to move on with the new leader and a new, healthy attitude.Comment
