Is this considered as being intrusive?!
I am 19 and my boyfriend is 20. We have been dating for almost two years. I have been to his house and stayed overnight twice before for christmas and thanksgiving. He invited me to his parens house to spend two nigts with his family this summer. His parents said they are fine with me staying over but I still feel like I'm intruding. His parents have been very kind and made sure I was taken are of when I was their guest the last time I spent the nights at his place. I really don't want to be invading their privacy. Is it considered okay to spend the night over at boyfriends parents?! -
Honey how else are they meant to get to know you? The girl who stole their son
He would have asked them and they obviously said yes, they welcomed you last time and took you out, they are kind people I bet they are looking forward to it...
You are a guest, that's exciting for people and they would be looking forward to that...
Sounds like as with everyone, it's daunting for you
Relax be yourself and enjoy yourself......

I agree with CW. From what you said, there is no reason for you to doubt their good intentions.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

If you were invited again to their home it is not intrusive. You've dated 2 years, stayed overnight already 2 times, they are opening their home and hearts to you.
So Go, be yourself, be happy, join the family atmosphere.
It could be offensive and Insulting for you to refuse their invitation.
Be prepared and willing to offer help with Dinner or clean ups or just helping out with whatever you see may need to make it easier for everyone.
In my Family, first visit you are a guest, if we invite you back you are a friend, third time is a charm, you are family.
And you don't have to ask to get a glass of water, you should know where the glasses are and how to pour your own glass of water and wash the glass out and put in dishwasher or sink.

If they didn't want you there, they wouldn't have asked/allowed you to come.
Go and have a great time. Be yourself. They want to get to know you.Comment
