Males are confusing
I have been seeing this guy for nearly 2 months now but we have been talking since Nov last year. He has told me that he is in love with me a few weeks ago. Due to him having exams I have only seen him once a week the last few weeks. But this week he has turned to ignoring me for a few days, not answering calls or messages. He eventually emailed me on Thursday night say he was not ignoring me and he was sorry but the times I had called he was playing soccer but he was free now and wouldn't be ignoring me. I didn't get a chance to reply and he emailed me last night saying "I'm going to take the absense that we are longer on talking terms. Well it was fun while it lasted. Good luck with everything." I replied saying I thought you where over me and the response I got back was " Never said that anyway doesn't matter" I tried calling him and telling him how I feel but he want answer my calls and respond to my emails. I don't know what I have done wrong or what I have done to deserve this treatment. I come to wonder if he might be seeing someone else and this is an easy way out, just to ignore me. The problem is his sister is my best friend and I get along really well with his family. So he is making the whole situation worse. What are peoples thoughts and advice on what I should do from here? -
Forget that you get on well with his family or his sister is your best friend
When he told you that he loved you, was that over the phone or in person? Do / did you believe it or question it as you are questioning it now.
Men are not like us, emotional, they will do their stuff and given you are only able to see each other once a week, it's natural he is living his life on the other times...
Men are also not like us, text back straight away..they are a little selfish there sometimes
He's also being childish by his reply that's to protect his feelings, being "tough" in my opinion...
Email back with a smile and say hun, I thought you loved me, well I love you too... Now, next time I text or leave a message given we are "in love" check your phone before going to bed and text me back even if it's a simple text with more to follow the next day
Two months neither of you are mindreaders and love is a big word for like 4 weeks or so together when he stated it.
Give that a try if he doesn't come back feeling "safe" and talk to you, then that's not it, he means he had fun and therefore, he's a jerk for lying about the L word....either way you'll find out.PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL! -
He told me over the phone, it all came about because he would tease me saying " You're so in love with me" Which I always replied with "Not even, you wish" He turned around and said "but what if I want to say it to you". My initial response was "Oh god please don'e say it" Because I thought he was joking. Turns out he wasn't joking! Man did I feel bad haha
It is not the first time he has ignored me but the other time was because I was a little mad that he bailed on plans he made with me! Now that Uni is over we have more time to make plans and see each other but now he won't talk to me.
I agree a simple message just saying talk to you soon or something would be better. I ain't no mind reader. I just get over paranoid and think to much into things. I sent a message telling him my feelings (I am not in love) But I really do like this one a lot and don't want to lose something good over something stupid.
If it turns out I was a little game and he didn't mean the L word, there will be some serious whooping soon!!!Comment

What is going on now is just an indicator of what there is to come. Actually there would be even more problems in the future. Why? Because a man who is interested in you will put on his best face at the beginning. No contact because he was playing? Well yeah, while he's on the field but if he was really into you, he'd have contacted you as soon as he was done.
Do not chase him. You have let him know how you feel. The ball is in his court. Do not run over there, pick it up and try serving it to him again. If he contacts you, be very cautious about resuming the relationship. I suspect he's just not all that into you,Comment

There are lots of good ones, but this one apparently thinks a little too much of himself. Lose him.Comment

Men are just as confusing as us females. Were all difficult at times! lol... Honestly though, your going to go through alot of guys that make you THINK "i hate men." before you find the right guy for you.
Plus, hes seems like he was behaving like a middle schooler, just carry on having a goo relationship with the family and friend and ignore him. 2 months wasnt a long time.Comment
