Okay. I've made my decision. I now know with 100% certainty that staying with my partner is unfair to both myself and my partner to stay when I am no longer attracted or in love with him. It is going to be hard leaving - I have to hurt him to make myself happy. But in the long run it WILL be better for him; he deserves to be with someone in wants to be with him in all ways. And I don't want to spend the rest of my life in a state of ambivalance or regretting never making a decision one way or the other.

Have courage. You have a job - shouldn't you be able to rent a small place? (if that's what you're worried about)
Parting is usually the most difficult part in relationships, especially if you've been together for a long time. No matter what you think right now, you will miss him at some point, so be prepared. You have contemplated of leaving for so long now, tried and did it, but came back. Is it possible to enlist the help of your best friend on this one so that you have the emotional support you need?
Have you looked at apartments to possibly move to? Cut the emotional side of it, how is the logistics of this decision?Comment
