Relationship help!!
I've had a very rough life and because of it I feel my ability to be comfortable in a relationship is not at it's best. I talked to my old therapist and he knows my family history and such he said that I'm so used to chaos that the fact that my relationship with my boyfriend is going so well it's scaring me. I've gotten to where I'll question everything yet any and everything I bring up to my boyfriend, who says I can talk to him about anything, he just says everythings fine. I love and care about him deeply and do believe we have a very good shot at working out in the long run I just cant get over my questioning and doubt. Any suggestions -
I think your therapist hit the nail on the head.
If you are usually used to chaos, maybe being disappointed by people in you life many times and so on, I think then it's natural you feel the way you do.
All of a sudden there's this great guy, who makes you so happy and you can't believe you're luck?? You're just waiting for something to go wrong, because from your past, it's nearly like you just expect it to happen. Sound familiar??
You say you question everything? Do you question why he's interested in you? What he see's in you? Why he loves you?
If so, then darling he see's everything in you, that you cannot see.
I think this all bases down to your self esteem.
They say you can't learn to somebody else, until you love yourself, and that's very true. Because once you can do that, you won't need to question him about anything, you will see it all for yourself.
So, stop waiting for something to go wrong, enjoy your relationship with this amazing guy who makes you so happy. -
Hun, truth be told. Nothing in life is ever really for certain. That's why you need to enjoy every minute of it, stop worrying and care less.
You're insecurities will also cause problems too for the relationship, and I'm sure that's not what you want.
Really, just try and let go of the worries and each day be happy that you get another day, stop waiting for it to end and look forward to the future of the relationship and all the happiness it will bring you
