Why do you think men are dishonest with you? It sounds like you've had some awful luck with men but there are men out there who are perfect for you, it's just a matter of finding someone compatible and taking the rough with the smooth. Makes it all sound so simple! I've found overanalysing relationships encourages me to start looking for the faults which encourages me to quit before I'm hurt, but I've found the happiest relationship by just sticking with it. I'm not 100% ALL the time, I can't expect that from my SO.

You sound like a fantastic catch, the sort of woman every woman aspires to be. Realistically nobody can be at the top of their game 24/7, always is a bit much to ask and is totally dependent on what your expectations of him are - making you happy, what does it take to make you happy for example? A friend of mine is always analysing her relationships too closely, if they're not making her happy they go, what she doesn't seem to grasp is what makes her happy for a while is the rush of a new relationship, after that she goes back to her normal, unhappy state, she is fundamentally an unhappy person and no other person can change that for her. Now I'm not suggesting you are the same, that's just an extreme example.

Couldn't have (and didn't!) put it better myself! This is the trouble with the checklist approach to dating, we can miss some perfect relationships if we are so inflexible we can't compromise on one or two points to explore the relationship further and see where it goes. What it all ultimately comes down to, is that opposites attract. You may meet a man who loves you to the depths of his soul, believes you are the most beautiful being he has ever seen, does his utmost to spoil you, treats you right, respects you, accepts your quirks and loves to make you smile, but he may not be as financially stable as you are. So would you just write him off and look at the next man in line? I think we all have things we would like to see in our significant other, but what it comes down to is the heart chooses who it loves, and you have no say in it and your heart won't let you know until it's firmly made it's decision. But that's the way it should be anyway. At least in my own personal opinion.Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.Comment

Be yourself, make an effort to go out with friends in new social circles and have fun. There's not much that's more attractive than a person who seems genuinely at peace with themselves and who is wearing a warm and sincere smile on their face. Put fun first, and meeting people second, compatibility will ensue."The greatest enemy will hide in the last place you will ever look" Julius CaesarComment
