so confused... to follow my heart or head??

okay so about two weeks ago i broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years. however during this time we have still been sleeping wth eachother. i love him to death but i have become bored of him and the same old dramas. the other night i coudn't even handle him touching or kissing me. but after a few drinks i was more than happy too. some days its fun and easy other days its fuelled with tension , heated arguments and lots of disapointments. my mother knows of my heartache and wishes for me to move on but when i think of not having him in my life, well it breaks my heart.

anyway a few days ago i went out with a girlfriend and i met this guy, we exchanged numbers , he tried to kiss me but i pulled away. he was not the most handsome of men but our personalites just clicked. yesterday he asked me out on a date, i said yes. the date was fun , easy , and i came home with a huge smile on my face. we did kiss, i was very nervous because a part of me still feels loyal to my ex. he even introduced me to his mates and straight after we left eachother he sent me a message saying that he had a really good time and can't wait to see me again. the new guy also said that he hit the jackpot when he met me.

i am seeing him tomorrow - i invited him to my end of year uni celebration. well no actually, he invited himself. it was so nice to feel beautiful and wanted again. i feel torn - i know that if i get back with my ex, things are not going to change and i will just have to put up with it. my ex is not like this guy i met. my ex is unsocial , likes to watch movies alot and spends hours playing games.

i just no that if i do go out with guy, i will want to take things very slow. i am distant with this guy because i really don't want to be used or hurt. i have only ever slept with my ex and i just feel like i am betraying him. my heart has been broken by ex time and time again. i am really fragile. i did not tell this new guy that i am fresh out of a relationship.

my ex even with us just still being friends, still talks to me bad. he told me that i will not be able to do better than him and that i will just come crawling back to him once i realise that i can't meet anyone. - he also admitted that he is an ******* to me but can get away with it because he is amazing at sex. he also jokeingly said that i am an easy option for sex. i have not heard from my ex for a day , a part of me thinks i will only hear from him when he gets horny. i just feel like i am loosing my bestfriend as well as my first love.

what do i do?! my ex is so predicatable and rude - we do the same thing all the time. - he would rather spend the day playing video games than spend the day with me.
this new guy on the other hand is fun and social. but there is something about him that makes me think he will be controlling ( just the way he invited himself to my uni celebration and when we were with his mates he was holding me close , it was nice but it just felt like he was showing everyone that i was with him).

i am just so torn - i need advice and fast! SORRY FOR THE LONG POST GUYS BUT ANY FEEDBACK WOULD HELP

I so hate that line. "You won't do any better than me, nobody else will want you" radaradarada pftttt.

Accept he's a creep after all That, you are worth something after all, that you are just sex buddies and even then you can't really do it unless you drink so that means you've had enough of taking his shirt for so long and you are over it... Don't sleep with him anymore period.

As for the new guy? Go out with him but, remember, it's only been a couple of weeks since you broke up, you need time to be on your own to own yourself, know yourself and accept yourself as who you really are, not what your ex, is trying to portray you to be so he still wins and you still hang around.

If you do anything? Do it for the right reasons, it just is. Assertiveness.. Don't get emotionally attached until you are ready, or otherwise, hold off on the sex at present and just enjoy dating again.. That would be my advice.

I agree with CW, i think you know exactly what you want and perhaps need to hear it from someone else. You dont sound happy being with your ex. Take some time for yourself...soul searching is always good!

As for this new guy, take it slow and see where it goes... i do suggest eventually letting him know you are fresh out of a relationship...just so he's aware.

      Good luck!

I also agree with CW. It is good that you ended your relationship with your ex, but it is a little soon to start another relationship.
