i don't know who i am or where to go from here..

im totally lost.. i din't know who i am anymore, i am loosing myself. last night i went out, i just wanted to forget everything, forget my ex , forget this new guy but i couldn't... the new guy kept calling, texting, wanting me to come see him after i finished going out.. i couldn't hack it, so i ended up turning my phone off and throwing it in the bushes just to avoid having to see him... i found my phone this morning and i turned it on only to find that he had been texting all night.. i called him and made up some ******** story, he immediately came to see me and i made out like i was really tired and he said he is going to come see me later.. im not this type of person, i don't usally go out, get wild or anything.. i was a good girl, i gave my ex everything, i tried to make him happy , not even caring if i wasn't.. how do i begin again? im not the same girl i was a few months ago. my ex meant everything to me. i just want to runaway

this new guy really likes me, i want to like him the same way, i want to be ready but i just keep trying to escape.. i am having to live life now without the love of my life, my heart is shattered and i am trying to pick up the pieces... this new guy has no idea how i am feeling, he asks why i am distant but i don't think he really wants to know the truth. he has told all his friends, introduced me to them and his parents but i am getting out of control, i don't know what makes me happy anymore. i like him i do i just can't be what he wants. i am so confused

It takes time to get over an ex.

With true love, I always believe what will be will be, nothing can really get in the way other than time.

You can't jump from the frying pan into the fire, you need to sit down with this new guy and tell him how you honestly feel, ask him to be patient and ask him not to text you 10 thousands times a day, with nil reply and then show up on your door step.. That's over-bearing, in-secure although I guess he is confused and is trying too hard...

You ex is your ex for a reason. You sound as if you are dying? There is one person you really need to love and that's yourself. It sounds as if you put your whole body, mind and soul into this one person, you didn't count and nor did anyone else around you and so now you feel like nothing exists, you just walk the planet and that is why, because you need to love you and live for you and then let people into your life, that will share it. You owe yourself that and I think you need it.

We all have goals, dreams, you've lost yours because you gave yourself totally to one person. Who are you? What do you really want out of life, what makes you laugh, when was the last time you did something just for you?

Smile it's really not that bad, it just feels like it at the moment.
PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!

no not dying, just have mixed emotions.. i think i am going to talk to this new guy and just tell him that i want to slow things down. he's a good person and does not deserve to be treated the way i have been treating him. i did invest every part of myself to my ex , i thought it was meant to be and nothing else mattered . i do just need to stop over thinking things and just go with the flow. i am going to do things for myself again.. the only thing that i have done for myself is going to the gym more lol..

The new guy may be a good guy, but he came along at the wrong time. A rebound relationship will not help you heal.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
          ...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, Virginia

It is too Soon for you. You need to tell "New Guy" honestly that you are not ready for a Relationship other than a casual one as Friends. Be honest, so he doesn't feel " Led On ". Explain you are still healing and need time.
If you like him, tell him you like him, but also tell him, that you are not " Girlfriend Material " right now. But you are Friend Material, with the Possibility of More in the Future
That you don't want to hurt him or give him false hope, or just use him as a Rebound Man. You would like to just Relax , No Pressures and see where things may Go .

If he really likes you and is interested, he will appreciate the Honesty and take it slow with you and respect that you just aren't into the " Heavy Stuff " right now.

You need to set some rules..
Like "Lets text about our day once every evening or plan to go out and do something once a week ( For Now ).

Let him know it makes you feel great that he is in to you, and you do like him, but constant texting is too much too soon , will possibly ruin even getting to know each other better, use " as I am slowly getting over my Last relationship with my Ex and though you are Sweet & I do Like you, I am feeling pressured to go faster than I feel I can at this Time. "

If you like him allot, tell him " I'm not saying No right Now, I'm asking you, Not so Much, Not So Fast Right Now ."
That leaves the door open for him to not Push and go Slower or if he's all Fired up over being in a Serious Relationship ASAP and doesn't still want to go slow with you .
He isn't the one for you and you won't be " Losing a Chance at Love again "
