    Best Guy Friend Problems..Help!

I have this really good guy friend, Sean...we became super close he tells me everything and I do the same. We usually gave advice to each other about our relationships were in. One day we were texting Sean confessed (unwillingly, because he has a girlfriend) that he likes me. I replied saying I liked him too. I asked if we were both single would he want a relationship with me..he said "yes". But he is full committed to his girlfriend (that he has been with for a year) He told me that he's going to marry this girl. Just recently I broke up with my boyfriend. Couple days after the break up, I texted Sean saying how hurt and upset I was and that I missed my ex-boyfriend. Sean replied comforting me. But then the next day he said how it hurt his heart and made him upset hearing me say I missed my ex.
    - I really don't know what to do with me and Sean's relationship..if we're friends or more than that. We both like each other but we can only be friends. ********What do you guys think of this situation? What should I do?

Doesn't sound like full commitment to me!

If you hang around, this guys gonna wind up playing you both!

I'd move on to better things, if I were you.

If there were any real feelings towards you he wouldn't be thinking about marrying someone else. He is playing with your heart...move on I guarantee he isn't the one for you

I think your relationship with Sean is too close. It makes him possibly emotionally cheat on his girlfriend and it may be impeding you from moving on. You need to move on to a stage of being single for a while to clear your head and then go back to dating.

It might be good if you stop communicating with him. He might just give you false hope when you know from the start that he cannot fully commit on you.

Seems like he's leading you on.... I agree with Trisha23.
Give yourself some distance and use that to help clear your mind for the time being
He would have broken up with his gf to be with you if he really really liked you and
was willing to be in a committed relationship.

So, when he says "I'm going to marry this girl" it's okay, but when you say "I miss my boyfriend" he gets upset at you and claims that you've hurt him? You're going through a very hardtime with the loss of your ex, but instead of helping and supporting you like a good friend should, Sean is making it about HIMSELF. I think that's selfish.

I admit, I'm in a similar situation to Sean... I'm in a committed relationship but I have a crush on my best friend, so I won't jump to accusing Sean of not loving his girlfriend. But I would never tell my crush that his feelings towards other girls "hurt me." I will only ever support my friend and do my best to help him on the path to finding a girl who loves him, and when he does, I will be thrilled for him because he deserves it. I wish for his absolute happiness, because he is my best friend and he is dear to me (although it will be bittersweet when he finds a girl.... but so much better than seeing him alone.)

It worries me that Sean doesn't feel the same about you... if he cares about you, he should want what's best for YOU. Instead, he's focusing on his own feelings in your time of need. He expects you to like ONLY him, but then says he's going to marry another girl. Doesn't he consider how saying those things will hurt you? That's very selfish of him. I agree that he might be playing with your heart. I think you need to talk to him and figure out the future of your friendship. If he's not okay with you moving on and dating other guys, then you should break contact with him until he gets over this. It's okay if you have feelings for him, but you can't let him hold you back. He can't offer you commitment... but even if he became single, and was able to be with you, do you think he'd care enough about your feelings?
