    Friend Issue

Me and my best friend has been close for a couple of years now. I always had a car, so basically wherever i went she went. Well now we go to the same college, we live 2 & half hours away from home. I NEVER asked her for gas money until recently. I said quote "I'm going home this weekend and if you want to ride, i will need gas money." She says "Why do i need to give you gas money? We going the same way, it's really not that serious." I was totally shocked by her statement and i feel like it shouldn't be a problem with her helping me with gas. Am i wrong?

I don't see anything wrong with that. You are just being practical since she is your best friend and you are supposed to be open about that with her. Besides, you are still studying and is on a tight budget.

Tough one! I understand her point of view, if you don't go out of your way to
get her where she's going. But getting there on her own would cost her something.
Let her know that you're tight and would have appreciated a contribution. If she
doesn't get it than she's being a little self-centered at the moment.

She's the type of person that's ALWAYS negative. So if i be open up about that, she's not going to listen. She's a USER and if it cost her she gets an attitude and stop talking to you like it's the other person fault.

Then reconsider your friendship with her. Is she really worth the hassle.
          Friendship also goes bothways.

I'd start by not giving her the lift! It's your car and your life, you can do
what you want with both of them.

I always been there for her and when she said that, that opened up my eyes on our friendship. She's not worth the hassle. And i appreciate your input, Thank you .
