Here I come crashing back, a blast from the past

The likelihood anyone will remember me is slim.

After taking a lot of advice here about a recent breakup, I went onto beginning a new, lovely, fresh relationship. That was in 2010. Unfortunately it came to an end this month, reasons being that she no longer wanted to treat me in the grouchy snappy way anymore, and that last time we met up it felt like I was just a friend and not a lover.

Back when we first started dating we were a lovely, cute couple and have continued on a mostly happy relationships with some rocky moments. There have been times when we have been unsure about it but have battled on and the bad feelings have dispersed.

I must add that we never had sex in those three and a half years as it didn't interest her, I tried to initiate it a few times but learned to get on without. This break up has really upset me and dragged me down. Not as much as older relationships have, but I guess you build a force field with age. Its also partly still sinking in. I'll have moments of depression, and then just feeling a bit meh.

But everything reminds me of her, its crazy. Completely inanimate objects will remind me of her and bring me straight back down.

Its a total mixed bag for me right now, while on one hand I can get on with my life, on the other I haven't got the girl who I loved and cherished. Right now I'm in a down/neutral mood, but that can change in seconds.

Of course some of us remember you. Your having the typical drug withdrawal symptoms from all of those brain chemicals.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
