Turns out that I got happy too quickly! The matter worsened rapidly and I again don't know what to do. My boyfriend contacted me saying he knew I was going to break up with him. That's why he accepted it calmly when I broke the news to him. How he knew it? He said my ex told him so! And he added that my ex is the one who set our break up by using black magic! Black magic!!! He also said that my ex has all my personal information and he will harm us because he wants me back in his life. Its true I had a bad break up with my ex.

My bf also went to see a priest who confirmed there was black magic being done. Bf now does prayer everyday and also fasts some days. All this to protect me. Priest told him that there is danger to his life if he does not do the prayers properly. And for the prayers to be successful, we have to be together, to stay strong and love each other a lot. I have to think of him when he prays.

Problem is, neither have I met the priest nor has my ex contacted me about the matter. Everything I know about this new situation is through my bf. And I don't know if I should believe him or if he is simply manipulating me into not breaking up with him. I have never believed in black magic but I live in a country where some people do and some may even guarantee you that they know how to do it.

You come across as an intelligent schooled person. Are you honestly saying you believe this to be true? One simple way to find out how much of this is true would be to contact your ex and see if he has been in touch with this guy. This guy will say anything that puts him in the best light and to scare you into staying with him. Walk away - - now.

Yeah, if you needed any further convincing, this is it. Somehow I doubt you're asking if the black magic part is legit, but if you are, the answer is no. None of those bad things will happen and you don't need any protection. If you're asking if it's true that your ex did all that stuff like consult a priest and fast, does it really matter? He's officially a creepy guy now. Don't look back.

To those that practice the Black Magic, there are priests and priestesses involved in the practice. This is whom I assumed he had consulted. Otherwise, no God Fearing Priest (Catholic) would ever pay any credence to Black Magic and would not be advising anyone to pray as it was suggested in her post.

To be completely honest I'm questioning most of this.

I don't believe in it but we are not Catholics. We have indian origins. The beliefs are different. But I know I have to walk out of all this really fast before I get more entangled in this crazy story. Thank you all for your advices.

A Catholic would not believe in this, I was suggesting that if true, it could be a Priest from the Black Magic side of things, although I'd have trouble believing in this as well. Things just don't add up here.

Say goodbye and end contact with this person.

This is red flags, warning buzzers sirens, flashing red lights etc. No reason to believe anything at all this guy said.

He left his "degrees" in the UK???? Yes I guess I have some fancy looking pieces of paper somewhere saying that I various degrees. In the 30 years since I got them NO ONE HAS EVER WANTED TO SEE THEM. If an employer wants to know if you have a degree, they directly contact the university.

Black magic? It does not exist. More precisely magic only has power over people who believe it has power over them.

My experience with degrees are they are just pieces of paper. If an employer want to certify or verify that an individual has certain educational backgrounds, they request a transcript. This shows the courses taken, marks achieved and total required to obtain said degree. It usually takes about 10 minutes to request these and costs a little bit of money. My degree and my husbands degree are in picture frames in our home office. No one has ever requested that either one of us bring them in, we have been asked for certified copies of our transcripts.

Oh my, I would run, not walk, away from this guy! It sounds like he is a master of manipulation, and is trying to work his own sort of "magic" on you to keep you with him. I'm seeing many red flags, and my advice is to get out now while you're still ahead of the game.
